My boyfriends mother doesn’t like me even tho she pretends to. She constantly sends me texts pretending to be nice to get information out of me. She’s also made rude comments about women with large breast infront of me (I have big boobs) She says that women with large breats always sleep thier way top the top of the corporate world, among other comments. She is flat chested. And I guess in the past my bf says she used to ant to get breast implants. I’m blonde, thin, 21, and sometimes I model. I sing very well. I guess a natural talent. I was in advanced choir in high school and got every solo I tried for. I work right now as a waitress at a club. I work hard at my job, even if its just a waitressing job. His grandparents (her parents) live with her. his grandfather is sick with cancer and probably wont be around much longer. his grandmother is a sweet lady but for a while now she also makes comments and it hurts. Moms always get protective over their boys, especially their first.
If your boyfriend won’t talk to his mom on your behalf, sounds like you need to have a coffee and a proper chat with her. Telling her what she says upsets you isn’t rude. At best just say you’re overly sensitive or something so she doesn’t get too offended, because let’s face it, that won’t help.
If she’s going through the menopause, maybe she is down and feeling jealous of you, who can blame her?
But you do need to have a talk with her. If she has a problem, she should tell you, it’s only fair.

Financially screwed at 17?
In 6 months I will be 18. My mother doesn’t pay any allowance from the start of my life and pretends she does and then at the very end always pretended I did something to screw it up and doesn’t pay. I can’t get a job because I live in a location where I can’t just walk to one and I don’t drive. I don’t drive because I don’t have a license. I don’t have a license because my mother expects me to pay insurance. I can’t pay insurance because I don’t have any money and I don’t have any money because I don’t have a job. Triangle of death. So financially I can’t do anything. When I am 18 I can’t just leave. But at the same time my single mom will one way or the other boot me out. Insanity or otherwise. She threatens to call the cops on me on the time when shes pissed and they have come over a few times and asked her "so what do you expect me to do about it?" when she says "were having a fight" which she turns into an understatement. I live in Washington state just for the record. And I am at a loss as to how to escape this trap I have been placed in. She drinks heavily too and always says she doesn’t. See if you can find some friends or other relatives to live with that are closer to jobs. You are old enough to leave home, so if you find someone that will help you with a place to stay, you can get out of there. If not, apply for a student loan, and go to college. That is a sure way to be able to leave home.

My suggestion is to stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something about it. You act like your just completely helpless and hopeless. Your only helpless if you choose not to do anything about it. Your situation may suck, but I know so many people that have it way worse than you do. They didn’t sit and complain about how their mommy didn’t pay them an allowance (btw, your mom has no obligation to pay you an allowance so lose the sense of entitlement) They didn’t bitch about not having a license and having to walk. They took the bus or road their bikes to their jobs, sometimes up to 10 miles to get to work. They saved up and got a license and a car and they got places of their own. Your just expecting your life to be easy and have things handed to you and you know what, life isn’t easy, life isn’t fair. You take what you got and you make the best of it. What can I substitue in this recipe to make it heathlier?
The butter is used when frying mushrooms, shallots and thyme leaves so I don’t know if using extra virgin olive oil would give it the same effect?

Few thyme sprigs

4tbsp double cream

Since the recipe uses eggs, double cream and cheese, it’s already pretty fattening. I’m thinking it doesn’t matter too much whether you use butter or oil!

However, olive oil is less saturated than butter and will work just as well. If you want to cut calories, you should use a low-fat cheese and milk or half and half instead of cream.

What are you making? Is it a quiche? It’s hard to determine what to substitute without knowing what you want to make with it.

Probably these substitutions would work (but not sure if I don’t know the resulting product):

* Olive oil instead of butter is fine.
* Eggs could be substituted with just egg whites or "Egg Beaters" to reduce fat & scholesterol.
* Use 2% milk instead of the double cream.
* Use lower fat cheddar.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil burns easier than regular Olive Oil, so use regular Olive Oil and save the Extra Virgin for on the table (with good bread or salad)! Use a spray/spritzer for "greasing".
It is always wise to improve the nutrition of any recipe, even something indulgent. But I would also want to know more about the desired results (what is the recipe for?) before switching to a non-fat or low-fat cream and low-fat cheddar. If it’s a quiche, and it’ll be served warm, you’d want to have the double cream but could probably use low-fat cheddar. If it’s going to be served cold you could use the low- or non-fat cream, but you’ll have some liquid settle (which could ruin a crust), and I would keep the regular cheddar instead of low fat.
With low-fat or non-fat dairy products there is always more water than with whole-fat items, so you’ll always have some water residue and it’s just a matter of figuring out how that effects the texture. If you’re going to boil something some of that water will boil off (reduce), but if it’s baked in a covered dish or cooked in a crock pot, you’re going to keep all the extra moisture in the dish. There are also commercial fat substitutes available, but I think they’re most recommended for baked sweets (and are often fruit based).
I miss the taste of yolks in some recipes, so consider using one or two eggs, and substituting egg-whites for the other eggs. (use 2 egg-whites for every egg).
