Bah! What do I do!?!?!?
I was offered two jobs today. One job is FT with great pay and the other is temporary/PT with crappy pay. The second place called this afternoon to tell me to come in for orientation tomorrow at 7AM and I told them I’d be there, because the first place called not even an hour ago to inform me that I got the job. If I take the second job there is no way I can get the first job, which I know I’d love far more, not just because of the pay but because what I’d be doing. I’ve already asked them would it be possible for me to start in a few weeks and they said it isn’t because they need someone NOW.
My friend suggested that if I really am leaning towards the first job, that attending orientation for the second place would be a bad idea, and that it’s better for the managers to just find someone else ASAP then have me quit the first day of work when they don’t have anyone to take my place. But to me just not showing up seems so rude and irresponsible on my part. What do you guys think??

Call them and tell them you were offered a permanent position, so you won’t be able to accept their offer.
