[Insolite] un chirurgien utilise une perceuse pour sauver une vie
Le docteur Rob Carson est hissé au rang de héros après avoir sauvé la vie du jeune Nicholas Rossi, en perçant un trou dans son crâne, avec une perceuse.
Publié par : Il a fait cela pour retirer un caillot de sang qui aurait pu tuer le petit qui s’était frappé la tête après être tombé de sa bicyclette vendredi, à Maryborough, à environ 170 kilomètres au nord-ouest de Melbourne.
Après sa chute, le jeune homme s’est plaint de maux de tête, a eu des spasmes et a perdu connaissance en étant transporté à l’hôpital.
Le docteur a alors reconnu les symptômes d’une hémorragie cérébrale et sans matériel neurologique à l’hôpital, il a dû penser rapidement. C’est alors qu’il a mis la main sur une perceuse Black and Decker.
Il a stérilisé l’instrument et avec un collègue, ils ont percé un trou dans la tête de Nicholas, 12 ans.
Le trou a été percé juste sous l’ecchymose, au-dessus de l’oreille de Nicholas, jusqu’à ce que le caillot de sang ne tombe.
Le docteur Rob Carson a ensuite pris des forceps pour agrandir le trou à un centimètre diamètre et a inséré un tube de drainage qui a permis au sang de sortir du crâne et faire descendre la pression sur son cerveau.
Une heure plus tard, il a été transporté par avion à l’hôpital pour enfants de Melbourne et a obtenu son congé mardi, jour de son 13e anniversaire.
Le jeune homme pourrait même retourner à l’école la semaine prochaine et promet de porter son casque.

Mesothelioma and Asbestos Exposure
